Frequently asked Questions and Answers

Why do you do this?
We are interested. Most people are. We want to find explanations for unexplained phenomenon. Paranormal stories have been long part of human history. It’s even studied at Government levels, in Universities. Our curiosity does not set us apart from the general public. Our team has a good mix of sceptics and believers, as well we have back grounds in problem solving, technology, and members who are more sensitive to these types of events.

Do you think you have seen a ghost, alien, paranormal entity?
Some of us believe we have, and some of us firmly say we have not. However, it seems almost everyone knows someone who believe they have. Even that side of it is interesting and worth looking into. Someone recently has reported they are being somewhat tormented in their own home. Are they? They are making the claim. If they are not – then why do they believe that they are? Those of us who have not witnessed anything paranormal to date – are interested in even that side of a claim – why is someone telling people this? And some of us have witnessed “out of this world” type phenomenon, that cannot be explained.

What are the strangest or scariest events you have witnessed?
For some of us – nothing that wasn’t eventually found to be – a normal, typical – explainable situation…. a golden rope of light… which under the right conditions and closer look – was the way a light source would shine through door cracks and off a bathroom mirror. Or a face in a window – which was only again, reflected light. An alien corpse – not so alien – just a raccoon or perhaps a coyote.
As for some of the un-provable, unexplained events – visits from dead relatives, shaking beds, voices, UFO sightings – which are the types claims you’d come to expect when it comes to this topic.
We will compile some more of the extraordinary, unexplained claims here once we discuss what is okay to disclose.

Are you associated with CHAPS Paranormal?
No, but we are fans for sure. We’d love to meet them, or better yet share an investigation some day. They are from Canada, we are from Canada – and they’ve done lots in our region, but there’s no relationship otherwise. We’ve thoroughly examined the evidence they publish publicly and we are very impressed with some of the EVP’s they have recorded, as well as the method in which they conduct their investigations.

What takes place at a typical investigation?
After speaking with a client, or researching as much as we can into claims made at a location – we book an appointment. We setup equipment, and look around. We attempt to make contact if the situation seems necessary to do so – and record what is happening through the usual means – pictures and video. We also use fairly typical paranormal investigating equipment – K2 EMF meters, Spirit Boxes, etc.
After an investigation – all the collected data – temperatures, EMF readings, are compiled and scrubbed through. Filters are run over photos and Video. The data is archived, notes are taken and a report is presented to the client if it is a case where we’ve been asked to come to private property.
An issue with these investigations – is that events don’t tend to happen all the time. Clients experiencing unexplained phenomenon can have months or years go by with nothing out of the ordinary be experienced. We do our best to come up with a relevant time of day, years, etc. when it makes the most sense. Repeat visits is obviously common if there is reason to.

What makes you qualified to do this?
What makes anyone who is abiding by the law, qualified to make a hypothesis, make observations, compile and analyse the data and come to a reasonable conclusive estimate – given the results? We have varied professional backgrounds and bring our relevant skills to the task at hand. Unfortunately, circumstance seems to be one of the elements that is most important in this line of venture – being at the right location, at the right time. We take time and our resources to conduct investigations in the most considerate manner we can.

Can I come with you to an investigation?
We are not firmly saying no. Bringing in other team members is currently being discussed. If it’s public property – we can’t say no, but also, you won’t know when we are going. Going to private property for a client is a different matter altogether – as police record checks, insurance, etc. could come into play. We’re in the midst of discussing what could be done for those interested – but that could quickly could turn into a “Ghost Walk” in which there are already many good ones available you could attend. What does this costs? (For you to come and investigate)
We will never charge money for this, it does not cost anything. There could be club events, dinners, outings, internal fund raising etc. that has a fee – but for us to come and do an investigation at a location for a client – there will never be a fee. This is a non profit venture.
